Known as ‘the green lung of Bangkok’, Lumpini Park is a great way to take a break from the city’s bustle and relax for a few minutes or enjoy a whole day amid greenery. The park spreads across 58 hectares right in downtown Bangkok. Several outdoor leisure activities for all ages can be enjoyed, including jogging, cycling, aerobics, basketball and yoga. The park likewise is setting for regular jazz and classical concerts.
You also can read a book or have a picnic on the grass under stately trees. If you haven’t brought picnic food, there are many street food vendors just outside the park’s gate alongside Rama VI Road.
You can get to Lumpini Park in several ways from Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit. By MRT underground from Sukhumvit Station, get off at either Lumpini or Silom Station (three or four stops). By BTS SkyTrain at Asok Station, go to Siam Station and change to BTS Silom line then continue to Sala Daeng Station.
